This is yet another project from my drawing and design class. The assignment was to draw a face, a letter, and an object (not necessarily in that order) and paint or sharpie it with black. We also had to leave a 2 inch border along the edge. I am really happy with how this turned out because I did not look on the Internet to steal inspiration from other people (not that that is bad, it’s just that coming up with an idea by myself made me extra satisfied with this). I had recently been doodling a lot of side profile faces, so that’s what I put in the “M”. I outlined the drawing in sharpie first, then painted it with black acrylic paint. It was hard getting the small spaces.
I had a long weekend for Veteran’s Day so I decided to paint something on a canvas bought a long time ago. I think that this is the first time I’ve ever tried to paint realistic faces, so please keep that in mind. I had first planned on making it more realistic than it turned out, but I actually like the fact that the colors aren’t the exact shades as the photo. I painted me (on the left) the first day, and my sister (on the right) the second day. I think I did better the second day. So here they are:

Here is yet another assignment from my Drawing and Design class. I am currently painting a 12 step color wheel (with acrylics) from a collage I made. I am not done yet, but I thought that my readers out there might enjoy some work in progress. Please let me know if you would like me to post once I’m finished with a project, post stages of progress after I have completed the project, or just post my process as I work on it. Hope you enjoy! (I personally like the yellow orange vacuum cleaner the best)
This is another assignment from my Drawing and Design class. I had really never drawn feet before, so this was a new experience. The seven hands and feet are shaded with pencil and the background is done in watercolor. My favorite foot is the second one from the left at the top and my favorite hand is left most one in the middle. Tell me what you think about it!
Sorry I haven’t posted much since school started. So here I have a project for my Drawing and Design class. The assignment was to draw and shade a collage that we made.
Here is the collage I made:

So, I’m not a very good drawer, but I decided to practice today, so I followed Debby Arts tutorial on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71kLGmy9Be8) and this is what I drew. I kinda went crazy with it an drew 5 more, but I felt this first one was still the best.
